KidsKuts is a full-service, family salon located in Encinitas since 1985. When the original owner decided to sell the business in 1998, Sheri Rey, one of her stylists, decided to purchase it. Sheri has now owned KidsKuts for more than 15 years and has many long-time clients whose children have grown up but are still regulars, as well as newcomers who are just getting their haircut for the very first time.
Kids of all ages are welcome (including adults), and the salon specializes in “special needs” kids. In keeping with the family-
oriented nature of the business, Sheri has her daughter Kelly working by her side as a stylist.
You’ll notice Sheri when you first walk-in as she occupies the front station and often directs customers to available stylists, or takes care of them herself. Though the salon books scheduled appointments, Sheri understands just how busy family’s can get (having raised three children and two grandchildren), so walk-in appointments are welcome – on a first come/first serve basis.
The salon itself is bright and colorful with a vibrant ocean theme painted on the walls. It offers a friendly, relaxed environment for kids of all ages. And, to keep little hands and busy minds occupied, the salon also provides:
